Sessional Worker - Basingstoke

We are looking for a passionate and committed Sessional Worker to join Kids and support disabled children, young people, and their families within our Early Years setting. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support disabled children and young people during group sessions, creating a welcoming and inclusive space
  • Encourage children to express their views and ensure their voices are heard
  • Work collaboratively with practitioners, senior staff, and coordinators
  • Safeguard the wellbeing and safety of all children in your care
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and communication development
  • Assist with planning, evaluating, and documenting group sessions
  • Follow Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted guidelines
  • Build positive relationships with children, young people, and families
  • Attend supervision sessions and complete training as required
  • Adhere to safeguarding, data protection, and equality policies

About You

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Early Years
  • Experience supporting disabled children and young people
  • Ability to meet individual needs in a care or educational setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience with personal care and manual handling
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and equality practices

Desirable:

  • Additional training (e.g. First Aid, Food Hygiene)
  • First Aid certification (training can be provided)

Location: Shakespeare Road, Popley, Basingstoke RG24 9BP (Conveniently located on a bus route from the town centre).
Salary: £12.21 - £13.68 per hour (including holiday pay)
