Sessional Short Breaks Worker

Are you caring, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting disabled children, young people, and their families?

If you’re looking for a rewarding part-time role that fits around your other commitments, join Kids as a Short Breaks Worker.

With flexible hours during evenings, weekends, and school holidays, you’ll be making a meaningful difference every day.

As a Short Breaks Worker, you’ll provide 1:1 support for disabled children and young people, offering short breaks either in their home or out in the community. Each session is tailored to the individual’s interests and goals — you might be visiting a park, soft play centre, museum, or swimming pool, or enjoying activities like cycling or shopping.
Your role will be to promote independence, inclusion, and learning through person-centred support, while providing both practical and emotional assistance to help children achieve the outcomes set out in their support plan.

This is a sessional position with flexible hours during weekends and school holidays. Services operate in several areas, including Hackney and Waltham Forest.
